Applications for the 2024 Summer Internship Programme are currently closed. Sign up for our mailing list to be the first to know when applications for our next Programme open.
From July to August, we offer a paid six-week internship, which will give you some real-world experience and insight into a career within investment consultancy while you’re still a student.
It’s a fantastic opportunity for you to get a taste of what we do while also contributing to actual client solutions. If you enjoy it and do a good job, you could come back for another internship or be invited to apply to our graduate programme.

Our internship programme
You can choose to apply for one of three areas:
Investment Consulting
Working collaboratively with your team, you’ll help deliver advice to your clients to meet their investment and impact objectives. Your challenge is to translate complex concepts into succinct solutions.
Asset Liability Management (ALM)
Love numbers? Here you’ll work out the best way to achieve our client’s objectives. With endless solutions, the choice is down to you. Using our in-house software and sophisticated analytics, you’ll help us build the best investment strategies for our clients.
Manager Research Team
Fund managers invest our clients’ money. It’ll be your job to make sure we pick the best ones. You’ll look at the universe of fund managers and analyse, interview and report which ones are best placed to meet our clients’ goals.

What qualifications do you need?
We look for undergraduates in their penultimate year of study. We welcome applications from all universities and degree disciplines. So, as long as you are interested in building a career in investment consulting, we’d love you to apply.
The internship at Redington exceeded all my expectations. The biggest takeaway for me was how approachable and friendly everyone was. Everyone I reached out to was happy to chat with me which made me feel extremely welcomed.
Our application process
Our application process is split into three stages. As you progress through each stage, our People team will be in touch to explain the next step

Step 1 - Online application and psychometric testing
You’ll be asked to fill out an online application and attach your CV. Once completed, you’ll then be invited to take a psychometric test (verbal and numerical test).
You can find more information about psychometric tests on our FAQ page

Stage two - Recorded video interview
You’ll be asked to answer questions about our industry and the area you wish to join (Investment Consulting, Investment Manager Research or ALM). We want to get to know you better and understand how you communicate.
If you’re applying for an ALM role, you’ll be asked some maths and probability questions too.

Step three - Assessment Centre
For all roles, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre where you’ll work collaboratively on a group exercise, present your findings, and interview with our team.
The assessment centre will be a full-day event, with hiring decisions made on the day.
A day in the life of a Redington intern
What does a typical weekday look like for a summer intern at Redington? Well, let us find out. Meet Mamoun and Sanam, two former interns who then went on to join us as graduates. They walk through what a typical day as an intern looks like and provide some excellent advice for students who want to join the internship programme.
