Our internship programme

You can choose to apply for one of three areas:

Investment Consulting

Working collaboratively with your team, you’ll help deliver advice to your clients to meet their investment and impact objectives. Your challenge is to translate complex concepts into succinct solutions.

Asset Liability Management (ALM)

Love numbers? Here you’ll work out the best way to achieve our client’s objectives. With endless solutions, the choice is down to you. Using our in-house software and sophisticated analytics, you’ll help us build the best investment strategies for our clients.

Manager Research Team

Fund managers invest our clients’ money. It’ll be your job to make sure we pick the best ones. You’ll look at the universe of fund managers and analyse, interview and report which ones are best placed to meet our clients’ goals.

Entry requirements and what we are looking for?

Our summer internship program welcomes applicants from all backgrounds, and university enrolment or completion is not a prerequisite for applying or qualifying.

Our summer internship program is thoughtfully designed to provide participants with the opportunity to be considered for a permanent role for the subsequent graduate year or possibly at the conclusion of the internship subject to business requirements and role availability.

If you are a current student in University we require that you are at in your penultimate year of study and graduating from an undergraduate or master’s degree programme in 2025. This requirement is in place so that when you complete the internship you are eligible to be put forward for our Analyst level roles starting in 2025.

Our application process is split into three stages. As you progress through each stage, our People team will be in touch to explain the next step

Investment Consulting and our Manager Research Teams

Step 1

Step 1 - Online application and psychometric testing

You’ll be asked to fill out an online application, attach your CV and make note of any reasonable adjustments required in the interview process. Once completed,  you’ll then be invited to take a psychometric test (verbal and numerical test).

You can find more information about psychometric tests on our FAQ page

Step 2

Stage two - Recorded video interview

You’ll be asked to answer questions about our industry and the area you wish to join (Investment Consulting or Investment Manager Research.) We want to get to know you better and understand how you communicate.

Step 3

Step three - Assessment Centre

For all roles, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre where you’ll work collaboratively on a group exercise, present your findings, and interview with our team.

The assessment centre will be a full-day event for Investment Consulting applicants or a half-day for Investment Manager Research applicants. You will then hear back from our People Team within a week if you are successful in gaining an internship with Redington for 2025.

Asset Liability Management (ALM)

Step 1

Step 1 - Online application and video interview

You’ll be asked to fill out an online application, attach your CV and make note of any reasonable adjustments required in the interview process. Once completed,  you’ll then be invited to complete a video interview via an online platform.

The video interview will consist of 15 technical questions (probability, counting, financial, algebraic), the majority of which will be multiple choice, with a few open ended ones.

Step 2

Stage two - Virtual Interview with members of the team

The virtual interview will explore your knowledge of the mathematical and statistical concepts relevant to the role in the ALM team at Redington. It will test your ability to break down a problem (typically probability-based) or brainteaser and your mathematical/statistical knowledge to solve the problem.

Step 3

Step three - Assessment Centre

For all roles, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre where you’ll do a short presentation on yourself, complete brainteasers in your groups and complete two 30-minute interviews with our ALM team.

The assessment centre will be a half-day event and you will hear back from our People Team within a week if you are successful in gaining an internship with Redington for 2025.
