Six weeks of paid work experience that offers real insights into graduate life at Redington
From July through August, we offer a paid 6-week internship which while still a student, allows you to get real-world experience. It’s a fantastic chance for you to get a taste of what we do while also contributing to actual client solutions, which will help you decide on your future career path. Test the waters, and if you can swim, you’ll be invited back for another internship or advance through our graduate programme assessment process.

Our internship programme
We recruit interns in the following areas
Investment Consulting/Fund Research/Client Reporting
On joining you will be assigned to the business area that best matches your interests and your skill set – whether this be defined benefit pensions, defined contribution pensions, private wealth funds, Client reporting or fund manager selection.
As an intern, you will be involved in day to day tasks such as preparing presentations and reports, responding to client queries and tasks which support the improvement of our process. You will also work on a specific project individually or as part of a team.
Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
Love numbers? As an intern, you will work on a project with the other interns, which will introduce you to many of the concepts involved in modelling a pension scheme and advising clients.
You will also work on actual client work and live projects within your team, which will encompass the role of a typical day in the Asset Liability Management (ALM) Team.
Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance
On joining you will be assigned to work with our ESG and responsible investment colleagues. They are spread across different teams and help to support the continued improvement and implementation of ESG and RI principles to our clients.

Who can apply?
We look for undergraduates in year one or two of their studies (or year three for a 4 year degree) in any discipline for Investment Consulting and Manager Research. For Asset Liability Management, we look for STEM subjects, as it’s pretty number intensive.
Our application process
Our application process is split into four stages. As you progress through each stage, our People team will be in touch to explain the next step
Applications for the 2022 Summer Internship Programme open in September.

Stage one - Online application
Complete an online application and take a psychometric test – so that we can fairly and quickly assess you.

Stage two - Video interview
You’ll be invited to complete a video interview – this will involve answering general interview questions to find out a little more about you. If you are applying for ALM there will be some mathematical questions in there too!

Stage three - final stage interview
You’ll be invited to a face-to-face interview
Hear from our interns
The internship at Redington exceeded all my expectations. The biggest takeaway for me was how approachable and friendly everyone was. Everyone I reached out to was happy to chat with me which made me feel extremely welcomed.
