We’re looking for bright and curious graduates and undergraduates seeking a career in investment consulting and strategy.
As a Redington grad, you’ll play a key role in helping us deliver investment advice to the largest pension schemes, wealth managers and institutional investors across the UK and Europe, contributing to our mission of helping to make 100 million people financially secure – for people and planet.
Our Graduate Programme
You’ll join a two-year programme where you’ll be given the responsibility, autonomy and training you need to shine from day one. Our programmes are designed to stretch you while providing the skills and experience you need to kickstart your career and contribute to Redington’s continuing success.
You can choose to apply for one of three areas:
Working collaboratively with your team, you’ll help deliver advice to your clients to meet their investment and impact objectives. Your challenge is to translate complex concepts into succinct solutions.
Investment Manager Research
Fund managers invest our clients’ money. It’ll be your job to make sure we pick the best ones. You’ll look at the universe of fund managers and analyse, interview and report which ones are best placed to meet our clients’ goals.
Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
Love numbers? Here you’ll work out the best way to achieve our client’s objectives. With endless solutions, the choice is down to you. Using our in-house software and sophisticated analytics, you’ll help us build the best investment strategies for our clients.
Who can apply?
We welcome applications from all universities and degree disciplines. So, if you have an undergraduate degree and want to build a career in investment consulting, we’d love you to apply.
How to apply
Our application process is split into three steps. As you progress through each stage, our team will be in touch to explain the next step.
Step 1 - Online application and psychometric testing
You’ll be asked to fill out an online application and attach your CV. Once completed, you’ll then be invited to take a psychometric test (verbal and numerical test). This test will take no longer than 30 mins.
You can find more information about psychometric tests on our FAQ page.
Step 2 - Recorded video interview
You’ll be asked to answer questions about our industry and the area you wish to join (Investment Consulting, Investment Manager Research or ALM). We want to get to know you better and understand how you communicate.
If you’re applying for an ALM role, you’ll be asked some maths and probability questions too.
Step 3 - Assessment Centre
For all roles, you’ll be invited to an assessment centre where you’ll work collaboratively on a group exercise, present your findings, and interview with our team.
The assessment centre will be a full-day event, with hiring decisions made on the day.
Application Hints and Tips
We’re here to help
It’s ok if you’re not sure which programme is right for you, or if you’re interested in more than one position. Apply for the role which feels like the best fit and let us know in the application if you’d also like to be considered for any other positions.
Give yourself plenty of time to write applications
Good applications take time, research and concentration – so try not to leave it until the last minute! Find a place where you won’t be distracted when you’re working on them.
Practice, Practice, Practice
After applying online, you’ll be invited to complete a psychometric test. We would strongly advise that you take the time to practice. More information on psychometric testing can be found on our FAQ page.
Test your equipment
Please make sure you’ve tested your microphone, speakers, and have your lighting set up so that we can see your face before your video interview. Let our team know if you have any problems and don’t forget to check your Wifi connection too!

Our commitment to people and planet
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
For us, CSR isn’t a marketing exercise. It’s central to our mission. We founded RedSTART, a financial literacy charity that equips young people from across the UK with the skills they need to manage their financial futures.
We also have an internal charity committee (Redington Acorns) which sets out to leave the world in a better place than when we found it.
Inclusion and Diversity
For us, diversity isn’t about recruiting individuals from a minority represented group to meet a quota. It’s about building a team of genuinely diverse people, who come from different backgrounds and have different experiences and skills to bring to the table.
We believe it’s our job to create an inclusive environment that allows our team to thrive.
In 2022, we offset our emissions to become a net-zero business. This was the easy bit! We recognise that in order to make a real difference, we need to use our influence as an advisor to over £600bn of assets as a force for good.
This is why we’ve committed to delivering investment advice that’s in line with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
Applications for our 2023 graduate programme are now closed. 2024 applications will open in Autumn 2023.
