Redington is an independent investment consultant to pension funds and other long-term savings institutions.
Redington was founded in May 2006 by Robert Gardner and Dawid Konotey-Ahulu, co-founders and co-CEOs. They were the first to bring risk management techniques to pension funds that have been adopted industry-wide today.
They saw the pensions industry was facing a number of complex problems – large and volatile deficits, uncertain markets, complexity and ineffective decision-making – while traditional investment consultants lacked risk management expertise, liability awareness and practical implementation experience.
They were convinced that there was a better way to manage pension funds and other long-term savings. They wanted to transform people’s experience of pensions and savings from fear and uncertainty to clarity, confidence and control. They wanted to solve the pensions crisis.
